This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Crater de Ametzagaña. The trail is a super easy out-and-back route with a total distance of 1.002 kilometers and an elevation gain of 38 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. About 0.01 kilometers from the start, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, at around 0.34 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water station to refill your bottles.
Further along the trail, at approximately 0.13 kilometers from the start, there is a cafe named Uba where you can take a break and enjoy a snack. Additionally, at the 0.38 kilometer mark, there is a picnic site for those looking to relax and have a meal amidst nature.
For history enthusiasts, there are ruins of Fuerte de Ametzagaña located about 0.08 kilometers from the trail. You can also find an information point nearby to learn more about the area's heritage.
As you reach the midway point of the hike, there are several benches and drinking water stations around the 0.5 kilometer mark for you to rest and rehydrate before continuing on. At this point, you will also have the opportunity to explore the natural peak of Ametzagaña.
