This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 12.956-kilometer journey from Liaison du Col di Pison to the fontaine des Bachassons.
Starting off, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue onwards, at around 6.48 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach a scenic viewpoint where you can take a break and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Around the midpoint of the hike, at 5.17 kilometers, you will find Les Charbonnières, an information point that may provide interesting insights about the area.
At 3.7 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Fontaine de Viresac, a spring where you can refill your water supply. Nearby, there's also the Abri de Viresac, a shelter where you can rest and take shelter if needed.
Further along the trail, at 0.66 kilometers, you'll reach Les Drayes, another informative point that could enhance your hiking experience.
As you approach the end of the trail, at 3.54 kilometers, you'll reach the Col de Viresac, followed by Pas de Pillouse at 3.31 kilometers, both providing valuable information about the surroundings.
Near the trailhead, there's another parking area with no fees, allowing you to park your vehicle conveniently. Additionally, at just 0.05 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Fournaire information point, offering more details about the area.
Due to the length of the hike and the significant elevation gain of 447 meters, this route is considered extremely difficult. Make sure to bring an ample water supply, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
