Welcome to the Alteck hiking route!

Located in a beautiful natural area, this extremely difficult 13.415-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 1411 meters offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for avid hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. Approximately 2.49 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Continuing on, at around 0.05 kilometers from the start, there is another water spot.

For a quick break or a meal, you can visit the Ammererhof restaurant located right by the trail, around 0.0 kilometers from the start. Further along, at around 2.44 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Naturfreundehaus Neubau alpine hut, offering accommodation for weary hikers.

For history enthusiasts, there are several historic ruins scattered throughout the trail. Keep an eye out for Radhaus, Bremserhäusl, Schmiede, and Aufbereitung ruins, each with its own unique story to tell.

As you venture deeper into the hike, you'll come across the Alteck peak at 6.71 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
