The Camino de Abantos hiking route is a moderate 4.547-kilometer circular trail with an elevation gain of 372 meters, taking approximately 1 hour and 58 minutes to complete.
Located in a scenic area, this trail offers hikers a variety of points of interest to explore along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the rustic Casita Rústica viewpoint, offering a picturesque view of the surrounding landscape. As you continue on, you will encounter the Fuente de la Teja fountain, a perfect spot to take a break and replenish your water supply.
About 2.16 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak and saddle areas, providing stunning panoramic views of the area. Midway through the trail, you will find the Cruz del Niño Pedrín wayside cross, a historic landmark worth admiring. Further along, at around 2.13 kilometers into the hike, you will reach another peak offering beautiful views.
Towards the end of the trail, at a distance of 1.1 kilometers from the start, you will find the Casa de Cristino ruins, providing a glimpse into the area's history.
