The Kreutzotterpfad is a moderate hiking route that spans approximately 5.123 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 395.0 meters. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at the parking area located at the beginning of the route.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. Approximately 0.13 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Feste Limburg, a historic attraction. Continuing on, at around 0.24 kilometers, you will find the Feste Stein, another historical site.
For a scenic viewpoint, head to the area approximately 1.04 kilometers from the start where you will find a natural rock formation. At around 1.79 kilometers, there is another rock feature to explore.
Near the midway point of the trail, at 2.19 kilometers, you will find the Poste Chevassus and Aire du Kaltenbach, providing a resting spot and picnic area.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 2.56 kilometers, you can enjoy another viewpoint. Finally, at 2.52 kilometers, you will encounter a memorial site known as the Jägerfriedhof.
