Welcome to the hiking trail in Jerusalem! This route is a super easy circular hike with a distance of 0.848 kilometers and no elevation gain.
Starting off, you will find yourself at the entrance of the archaeological park, where you can explore ancient ruins and learn about the history of the area. As you continue on the trail, you will come across Sha'ar Ha'ashpot (Gate of the Garbage) at the beginning of the hike, followed by the impressive City Walls of Jerusalem mid-way through the route.
Along the way, you will also encounter various archaeological sites such as the Hafiroth Givati excavations and the ruins of Beit HaKnesset Tiferet Yisrael. Make sure to visit the archaeological site of Chain Gate and take in the view from the viewpoint overlooking the city.
For sustenance, there are cafes and fast-food options like Marzipan and traditional coffee spots like Mertzifan nearby. Don't forget to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water stations conveniently located on the trail.
