Welcome to the Warton Crag hiking route! Warton Crag is a beautiful area known for its stunning views and unique rock formations. This hike is a super easy out-and-back trail, perfect for all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Warton Crag nature reserve, located right at the start of the trail. This is a great place to park your car and start your adventure. As you continue along the path, you will come across the Small multivallate hill fort, an ancient archaeological site that is definitely worth checking out. It is located about halfway through the hike.

Further along the trail, you will reach the Warton Crag Rocking stones, a popular viewpoint with incredible rock formations. This is a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the beauty of the area. As you near the end of the hike, you will reach Warton Upper Crag, another stunning viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

This 1.4 kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 70 meters is relatively short and easy, making it a great option for a quick outdoor adventure. Remember to bring water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
