This hiking route will take you through the stunning area of La Maliciosa, offering beautiful views and challenging terrain. The circular route covers a distance of 6.166 kilometers with an elevation gain of 820 meters, making it a difficult hike that is perfect for experienced hikers.
You will start your journey at the parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, you will come across the Embalse del Pueblo de Navacerrada, a picturesque water reservoir located just 0.17 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Continuing on, you will pass by the La Maliciosa peak, standing majestically at 3.06 kilometers from the start. The views from this peak are truly breathtaking and offer a great reward for your hard work. Further along the trail, you will also encounter El Peñotillo peak at 2.58 kilometers from the start.
For those looking to replenish their water supply, the Fuente de la Casa de Guías spring is located 0.08 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a good opportunity to refill your water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the hike.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will pass by various points of interest such as saddles and information points along the trail. Keep an eye out for the Vivac del Peñotillo shelter, located 2.48 kilometers from the start, which provides a rest stop and shelter if needed.
