This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Vía el Chocho La Estrella in the AMCO region of Centro Occidente. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a total distance of 8.299 kilometers with an elevation gain of 416 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across parking areas at the beginning of the trail, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off. The trail offers stunning viewpoints along the way, with the first one located approximately 4.15 kilometers into the hike. These viewpoints provide a perfect opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery and rest before continuing on.
Midway through the hike, you will find the Restaurante y Panadería, a restaurant where you can replenish your energy with delicious food and drinks. It is situated a short distance away from the trail, so make sure to take a slight detour if you need to refuel.
Another notable point of interest along the trail is the Mirador del Guacary, a viewpoint located just 0.05 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a unique vantage point to admire the surroundings and take memorable photos.
