Hiking : Veľký Hukov

This moderate difficulty hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Veľký Hukov. The 5.045-kilometer trail has an elevation gain of 245 meters and can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 46 minutes.

Starting at the designated parking area at the trailhead, you will first pass by "Jazero na Hôzde," a scenic water feature located 1.3 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue on, you will come across "Pod Malým Hukovom," a peak 1.78 kilometers into the hike, followed by "Malý Hukov" at 2.09 kilometers and "Veľký Hukov" at 2.52 kilometers.

At the 2.52-kilometer mark, you will also find a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Along the trail, you will encounter several natural springs, including "Železitá studnička" at 1.3 kilometers from the start.

It is important to bring an adequate water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this hike. The route is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
