This extremely difficult 18.219-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the beautiful area surrounding Saint-Guiral. The trail starts at a parking area and then leads you to the peak of Saint-Guiral, which is approximately 7.81 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will also pass by Dourbies, a tourist information point that is located right on the trail.
As you continue your hike, you'll come across a picnic site called Aire de pique nique, perfect for taking a break and enjoying a meal. Further ahead, at a distance of 6.61 kilometers from the start, you will find the Cabane de Saint-Guiral, a shelter where you can rest and take in the surroundings.
For history enthusiasts, the Menhir des Pellerins, an archaeological site, is located approximately 7.72 kilometers from the start of the trail, providing a glimpse into the area's past.
It's important to note that there is a cafe along the trail, but it is located off the main path, so be sure to plan your breaks accordingly. This challenging hike includes an elevation gain of 518 meters, so be prepared for steep inclines and rugged terrain.
