This hiking route will take you on a beautiful adventure through the scenic area surrounding Schnippenkopf. The total distance of the hike is 8.148 kilometers with an elevation gain of 585 meters, making it a difficult trail that will challenge both your endurance and strength.
Starting from the trailhead, you will first come across Altstädter Hof, a charming restaurant located just 0.08 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to fuel up before you embark on your journey. As you continue on, you will pass by Sonnenkopf, a peak located 2.85 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings.
Further along the trail, at the 3.33-kilometer mark, you will reach Heidelbeerkopf, another peak that provides stunning vistas of the area. As you make your way towards Schnippenkopf, the final destination of the hike, you will encounter various points of interest such as an information center, historic wayside crosses, and benches for you to rest and take in the scenery.
