Hiking : Pic de l'Estagnole

This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the majestic Pic de l'Estagnole. The trail covers a distance of 8.34 kilometers with an elevation gain of 423 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding adventure.

Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards Pic de l'Estagnole. Along the way, you will pass by a beautiful water feature approximately 0.85 kilometers from the start. Make sure to fill up your water bottles here as it will be the last natural water source on the trail.

As you continue on, you will reach the Col d'Aygue Torte saddle at 2.89 kilometers from the start. This scenic spot offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, perfect for a quick rest before pushing forward.

At the midway point of 4.17 kilometers, you will encounter the striking peak of Pic de l'Estagnole. Take some time to soak in the breathtaking views before heading back on the same trail.

Along the way back, you will find shelters at various points between 3.0 to 3.38 kilometers from the start. These shelters provide a great place to rest and refuel before completing the hike.
