Welcome to the Sentier Cathare hiking route! This trail offers a beautiful journey through stunning landscapes with a distance of 3.365 kilometers and an elevation gain of 198 meters, making it an Easy difficulty hike. Be sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before setting out.
At the beginning of the trail, you'll find parking facilities conveniently located for easy access. As you continue along the trail, you'll come across a historic wayside cross and a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, be sure to visit the Fontaine de Roquefixade, a drinking water fountain perfect for refilling your water bottles. Nearby, you'll also find a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the area.
As you make your way back, don't miss the Château de Roquefixade, a historic castle that adds a touch of charm to the landscape. Further along the trail, you'll encounter additional viewpoints and a natural peak known as Roc Marot.
Throughout the hike, keep an eye out for climbing opportunities at the Falaise d'escalade and informative signage at various points of interest.
