The Sentier Cathare is a picturesque hiking route that offers stunning views and rich historic landmarks. The trail is 3.365 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 198 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all levels of hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter a wayside cross and a bench, perfect for taking a rest and enjoying the surroundings just 0.01 kilometers into the hike.

Continuing on, you will reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the landscape around you at 0.01 kilometers in. Further along the trail, at 0.5 kilometers in, you will find the Falaise d'escalade, a climbing spot for the more adventurous hikers.

As you approach the midway point of the hike, you will come across another bench and the Fontaine de Roquefixade, providing a refreshing water source for hikers. At 1.22 kilometers in, a stunning viewpoint awaits you, offering a panoramic view of the area. Additionally, at 1.46 kilometers in, you will find the Roc Marot peak, perfect for those seeking a vantage point.

Near the end of the route, just 0.5 kilometers before reaching the trailhead, you will discover the historic Château de Roquefixade, a castle steeped in history. Finally, at 0.09 kilometers from the end of the trail, a fountain and an information point offer a final stop before completing the hike.
