Welcome to the Altmühlweg hiking route! This scenic trail is a circular route with a total distance of 1.648 kilometers and offers a super easy hiking experience with no elevation gain.
Starting at the parking area near FV 1921 Vilseck, you will begin your journey through the picturesque landscape. As you venture along the trail, you will come across several points of interest such as the Wünnenberghaus historic building and the Burg Dagestein castle.
Along the way, you will also encounter various water sources, benches for resting, and even a BBQ area for a delightful picnic. Make sure to stay hydrated and pack some snacks for the hike.
At the midway point, you will reach a shelter where you can take a break and soak in the beautiful surroundings. As you continue your trek, you will pass by fountains and more benches before reaching back to the starting point.
