This challenging hiking route in the Bischofer area offers a total distance of 7.767 kilometers with an elevation gain of 659 meters, making it a difficult trek with a duration of approximately 3 hours and 26 minutes. Starting from the Bischofer destination, you will begin your journey by parking your vehicle at the nearby parking area, located right at the trailhead. As you set off, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. Approximately 1.45 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Schutzhaus Latzfonser Kreuz - Rifugio Santa Croce di Lazfons, an alpine hut and restaurant where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning views.
Continuing on, at around 2.32 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Kassiansee - Lago di San Cassiano, a picturesque water body perfect for a peaceful rest stop or a quick photo opportunity. Further ahead, at 2.59 kilometers, you will encounter the Kassianspitz - Cima San Cassiano peak, although it may require a slight detour from the main trail to reach it.
