This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Zwölfernock. The trail is 11.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 698 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the wayside shrine, which is located 3.5 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This historic site is a great place to pause and take in the surroundings before continuing on.
At around 1.8 kilometers into the hike, you will find a parking area named Kaser, where you can leave your vehicle if needed. From there, you can continue onwards towards Gasteiger Sattel - Sella dei Sentieri, a scenic saddle located 2.25 kilometers from the start of the trail.
As you make your way towards the peak of Zwölfernock, you will pass by a bench and an information point at approximately 5.2 kilometers into the hike. These spots are perfect for resting and learning more about the area.
Further along the trail, at the 5.75-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Zwölfernock. This is a great vantage point to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
On the way back, make sure to stop by the drinking water station and bench located 1.79 kilometers from the start of the trail. It's important to stay hydrated and take breaks while hiking.
