This challenging hiking route will take you to the Leierspitz - Monte Lira peak in the scenic area. The trail spans a distance of approximately 11 kilometers with an elevation gain of 862 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the beautiful Fortschellscharte - Forcella di San Cassiano saddle, located 1.46 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you will also encounter the Schrotthorn - Corno Rotto peak at 4.85 kilometers into the hike, followed by the Schalderer Scharte - Forcella di Scaleres saddle at 4.06 kilometers.
Throughout the hike, you will have the opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the area, with various points of interest including benches, wayside shrines, and information points conveniently located along the trail. It is advised to bring an ample water supply, as well as snacks and proper hiking gear due to the length and difficulty of the route.
At the midpoint of the trail, around 5.5 kilometers in, you will reach the stunning Leierspitz - Monte Lira peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After taking in the sights, you will retrace your steps back to the starting point, completing the out-and-back route.
