This extremely difficult 13.761-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the spectacular Arnoldhöhe destination. The trail starts at Ski Ankogel and follows a challenging path with a total elevation gain of 1407 meters.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by several points of interest. At the 0.02-kilometer mark, you will find Gasthof Alpenrose, a cozy restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat. Further along the trail at 3.46 kilometers, you'll encounter Alpengasthof Hochalmblick, another restaurant offering a place to rest and refuel.
Around the 6.88-kilometer mark, you will discover the Aschenstätte von Karl Arnold, a historic tomb worth exploring. Additionally, the Hannoverhaus alpine hut at 6.28 kilometers provides a unique accommodation option along the trail.
As you trek onwards, you'll come across informative points such as Arnoldhöhe and various picnic sites offering a chance to rest and take in the surroundings. Be sure to check out Hintere Lucke, a natural peak located 4.7 kilometers from the start, for a stunning view.
