This hiking route takes you through the beautiful landscape of the Ötzlsee area. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at the Talwirt restaurant. The total distance of the hike is approximately 4.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 33 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Along the way, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. As you continue, you will pass by the Ötzlsee lake, a picturesque spot perfect for a quick rest or picnic about 2 kilometers into the hike. Further along, you will encounter a shelter and a water source for refilling your bottles.
For nature enthusiasts, the Naturkneippanlage is a must-see attraction located midway through the hike. This natural spa area offers a unique experience for hikers to relax and rejuvenate in the midst of nature. Additionally, there are several benches and BBQ areas scattered along the trail for hikers to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
As you near the end of the trail, you will reach the Stockham campsite, a great spot to set up camp for the night or just take a break before heading back.
