The trail starts at a parking area close to the trailhead, providing easy access for hikers. As you begin your journey, you will come across the historic wayside cross located just 0.08 kilometers from the start. This landmark serves as a reminder of the area's rich history and cultural significance.

Continuing along the trail, you will pass by the Poteau du mont Alta information point at 1.84 kilometers from the start, where you can learn more about the surroundings and local points of interest. Further ahead, at 3.05 kilometers, you will find a refreshing drinking water spot to replenish your water supply.

Along the route, you will also encounter the Mémorial de la baronne Léonino memorial at 2.28 kilometers, offering a moment of reflection and remembrance. As you approach the midway point of the hike, you will come across the Fontaine des 3 fils fountain and Fontaine Saint Gervais fountain, providing a peaceful spot to rest and hydrate.
