Welcome to the hiking route to Kastelruth - Castelrotto! This trail is a 7.57 km out-and-back route with an elevation gain of 379 meters, making it a moderately difficult hike. The duration for this hike is approximately 2 hours and 42 minutes.
The trail starts at Spitzbühl, where you can find parking facilities. As you begin your hike, you will pass by the Prossliner Schwaige restaurant, where you can stop for a meal or refreshments. Along the way, you will come across the Spitzbühlhütte restaurant and the Punta di Razzes peak.
Approximately 1.26 km into the hike, you will find a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you continue on, you will encounter benches and information points where you can take a break and learn more about the history and natural features of the area.
At around 3.05 km into the hike, you will come across a historic wayside cross followed by a spring and a waterfall at 3.37 km. These natural attractions provide a serene spot to rest and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, at 1.26 km from the start, there is a free flying site for paragliding enthusiasts. If you are lucky, you might witness some takeoffs from this point.
