This hiking route will take you through a scenic area with lush landscapes and stunning waterfalls. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 6.518 kilometers and an elevation gain of 307 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
As you start your hike, you will come across the Caseta de Icona, a shelter located 0.46 kilometers from the trailhead. About halfway into your hike, at 2.65 kilometers from the start, you will find another shelter called Caseta de Icona. Make sure to take a break and enjoy the surroundings at these points.
Along the trail, you will also encounter GR 11, an information point located 0.48 kilometers from the start, and a cave entrance just at the beginning of the trail. Keep an eye out for these points of interest as you make your way through the hike.
Although not directly on the trail, there are several waterfalls nearby to explore. The Cascada del Molinieto is located 1.63 kilometers from the start, followed by the Cascada de la Tomborrotera at 3.08 kilometers, and the Cascada de los Abetos at 3.26 kilometers. These waterfalls offer a refreshing and beautiful sight, perfect for a rest stop.
