This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the stunning Gernkogel-Kreuzangeralm area. The total distance of the hike is 16.021 kilometers with an elevation gain of 247 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.

As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Wayside Shrine at the start of the trail. Further along, at 1.86 kilometers from the start, you'll find the cozy Durchkaseralm restaurant where you can take a break and refuel.

Continuing on, at 5.55 kilometers from the start, there is a natural water source perfect for replenishing your supplies. As you reach the halfway point, at 8.01 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter another water source to hydrate.

On the way back, at 6.37 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by the Straubinger Haus, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a meal.

Throughout the trail, you'll also come across several benches to take a rest and informative points providing insights into the surrounding nature.
