Welcome to the hiking route to Hochschanz!

Hochschanz is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and natural surroundings. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 1.921 kilometers and an elevation gain of 70 meters, making it a super easy hike suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Schwimmbad P1 parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before heading out on the trail. Further along the route, at around 0.4 kilometers, you will encounter the Großache, a charming water feature that adds to the scenic beauty of the hike.

Continuing on, at 0.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Sonnenhof Kössen biergarten, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments. As you approach the 0.56 kilometer mark, you will reach the Kalvarienberg attraction, offering a cultural and historical point of interest along the trail.

Midway through the hike, at 0.96 kilometers, you will reach the Hochschanz viewpoint, where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.
