This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to the Straubinger Haus in a beautiful area with stunning views. The total distance of the hike is approximately 12.865 kilometers with an elevation gain of 246 meters.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Parkplatz Steinplatte parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the route, you will pass by the wayside shrine at 0.0 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of historical charm to your hike.

About 6.35 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Straubinger Haus, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy a meal. Further along the trail, you will come across the Durchkaseralm restaurant at 1.86 kilometers into the hike, offering another opportunity to rest and refuel.

For nature enthusiasts, there are several peaks along the route, such as Windbühel, Lahnerkogel, and Eggenalmkogel, located at various distances from the trail.
