Located in a picturesque area, this hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With a total distance of 12.865 kilometers and an elevation gain of 246 meters, this trail is categorized as extremely difficult due to its length and elevation.

Starting at the trailhead, hikers will come across the "Parkplatz Steinplatte" parking area at the beginning of the route. As you progress on the trail, approximately 6.43 kilometers in, you'll reach the "Straubinger Haus," a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel.

Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several points of interest such as the "Wayside Shrine" at the beginning of the trail and the "Durchkaseralm" restaurant at 1.86 kilometers from the start. Be sure to explore these cultural and natural landmarks along the way.

While some points of interest may be slightly off the trail, like the "Windbühel" peak at 1.63 kilometers and the "Eggenalmkogel" peak at 5.14 kilometers from the start, they are worth the extra distance for the stunning views they offer.
