This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Старокиївська гора, offering a super easy hiking experience with no elevation gain. The route is circular, so you will end up where you started.
As you start your hike, you will come across several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Знак на місці першої київської школи, a memorial marking the spot of the first school in Kyiv. Further along the trail, about midway, you will see Десятинна церква, an archaeological site of an ancient church.
As you continue your hike, you will pass by Залишки земляного валу та рову, remnants of an earthwork structure from the 12th century, located on the way back. Closer to the end of the trail, you will find yourself near Замок Річарда — Левине серце, an attraction known as Richard's Castle - Lion's Heart.
Remember to bring plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes, and check the forecast before embarking on this 1.09 km hike. Enjoy the historical sites and natural beauty along the way!
