This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 12.659-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1139 meters, lasting approximately 5 hours and 46 minutes.
Starting at the beautiful Grubalacke area, you will begin your adventure towards Grubascharte. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Laklü's Salettl, a cozy pub where you can grab a quick bite before starting your hike. Further along the trail, you will come across the Erfurter Hütte, a restaurant and alpine hut perfect for a rest stop.
As you continue your journey, you will pass by the stunning Grubersee, a picturesque water body that offers a serene stop for hikers. Further ahead, you will reach the Grubascharte saddle, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various facilities such as benches and information points, offering a mix of relaxation and educational opportunities. Make sure to check out the Mauritzalm and Berggasthof Rofan for some local cuisine and accommodation options.
