This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area around Haut des Yraux. The trail is 6.859 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 282 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It is an out-and-back route, starting at the parking area and leading you to various points of interest along the way.

As you begin your hike, you will come across the Col de Sainte-Marie, a scenic saddle located just 0.11 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 0.06 kilometers, you will find a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy some food.

Continuing on, at 0.51 kilometers, there is a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Half a kilometer later, you will reach the historic Le Château de Faîte, a castle that once stood proudly in the area.

As you make your way towards the endpoint, you will pass by the Roche des Chèvres viewpoint at 0.91 kilometers and the wayside cross of Croix Jardon at 3.05 kilometers.

At the summit of Haut des Yraux, which is 3.43 kilometers from the start, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley below.

Throughout the hike, there are information points along the trail providing insights into the local history and natural features of the area. It is important to bring an ample supply of water, wear proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
