This extremely difficult 12.2-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the majestic Kleiner Roßkaiser peak. The trail starts at a parking area, so make sure to check the forecast before heading out and bring plenty of water for this challenging journey.

Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. Approximately 0.46 kilometers from the start, you'll find an information point, followed by a spring at the 3.04-kilometer mark. At 3.11 kilometers, there's another information point, and at 2.74 kilometers, you'll pass by a restaurant called Hageralm where you can take a break and refuel.

As you continue on, you'll reach a bench 0.27 kilometers from the beginning, offering a place to rest and take in the surrounding scenery. Further along, at 4.2 kilometers, there's another information point before reaching the peak of Großer Roßkaiser at 5.95 kilometers. The trail then leads to the summit of Kleiner Roßkaiser at the 6.1-kilometer mark, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.

With an elevation gain of 1094 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for a strenuous trek with steep ascents and descents. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and keep an eye out for trail markers.
