This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area known as "On the Rocks". The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 9.966 kilometers and an elevation gain of 477.0 meters, making it a difficult trek that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead, which is convenient for easy access. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as there are several water points along the trail where you can refill your bottles.
About 1.73 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural water source off the trail, perfect for a quick rest and hydration break. Continuing on, at around 3.0 kilometers from the start, there is another water point closer to the trail, offering a refreshing stop along the way.
One of the highlights of this hike is Tonic Peak, located approximately 4.61 kilometers from the start. While not directly on the trail, it's worth a short detour to reach the peak and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, at 4.44 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another water source conveniently located near the trail. Take this opportunity to rest and re-energize before continuing on the path.
Towards the end of the trail, at 4.98 kilometers from the start, there are two water points close to each other, providing a final chance to refill your water supply before heading back.
