The hiking route on Strada delle Croci is a challenging 10.8-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 352 meters. The route offers beautiful views and various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area, hikers will pass by a fountain located 5.29 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to refill water bottles before continuing on the journey. As you hike further, you will come across Laghetto San Severo, a picturesque water feature just 3.15 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to enjoy the serene surroundings before pushing forward.
Midway through the hike, at the 5.29-kilometer mark, you'll find another water source and a shelter called Casetta San Severo. This is a good place to take a break and have a snack while soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, there is a viewpoint 0.53 kilometers from the start, offering stunning panoramic views of the landscape.
Towards the end of the trail, around the 4-kilometer mark, there is a picnic site called Pozza where hikers can pause for a meal or a rest. After completing the challenging hike, hikers can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
