This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Rochers des Géants. The trail spans a distance of 5.83 kilometers with an elevation gain of 344 meters, making it a moderate level hike.
As you embark on this out-and-back trail, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the route, you will come across a parking area for your convenience. Further along the trail, at around 2.3 kilometers from the start, you will find the historic Mur Païen city walls, adding a touch of ancient charm to your hike.
Around the midway point of the trail, at 2.39 kilometers, there is an information point providing insights into the area's history. Additionally, you can explore the Rochers des Géants, a natural rock formation, and the Hohenburgerberg peak, both located approximately 2.92 kilometers from the start.
As you continue your journey, you will encounter the Porte Nord archaeological site and the Hohenbourg viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. At 2.6 kilometers, there are benches where you can rest and take in the scenery before proceeding to the various rock formations along the trail.
