This hiking route takes you through the beautiful landscape of the Dolomites, offering stunning views and a moderate challenge. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 5.054 kilometers and an elevation gain of 457 meters, taking approximately 2 hours and 18 minutes to complete.
Starting your hike, you will come across the Dolomitenhof restaurant just 0.07 kilometers from the trailhead, offering a great place to fuel up before your adventure. As you continue, you will pass by the Fischleinbodenhütte - Rifugio Piano Fiscalino, a cozy mountain hut located 0.06 kilometers from the start.
About midway through the hike, at 2.29 kilometers, you will reach the Rotwandwiesenhütte - Rifugio Prati di Croda Rossa alpine hut. This is a perfect spot to rest and enjoy some mountain hospitality. Just a bit further along at 2.46 kilometers, you will find the Rudi-Hütte - Rifugio Rudi, another alpine hut where you can take a break and admire the panoramic views.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will pass by the Stoneman checkpoint Rotwandwiesen, providing information about the area and the trail. Along the way, make sure to check out the various viewpoints and picnic sites for a well-deserved break.
