This challenging hiking route takes you to the Bivacco Berrone - Via Rusa area, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way. The 10.03 kilometers long trail has an elevation gain of 948 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will pass by a cave entrance at 0.39 kilometers from the start, followed by another cave entrance at 0.46 kilometers. These natural formations add an interesting touch to the hike. As you continue, you will come across a water source at 1.21 kilometers, perfect for refilling your water bottle.
Further along the trail, at 1.33 kilometers, you will encounter the ruins of Caserma Grotte del Seguret, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Around the 2.79 kilometers mark, there is an information point providing insights into the surrounding landscape.
At 3.41 kilometers, you will find a peak slightly off the trail, followed by another peak at 4.26 kilometers. While these may require a slight detour, the panoramic views from the top are well worth it. Additionally, at 5.02 kilometers, there is a water feature closer to the trail, offering a serene spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, you may also come across the Ricovero Vin Vert ruins at 2.75 kilometers and a waterfall at 0.13 kilometers from the start. These points of interest add a cultural and natural touch to the excursion.
