This extremely difficult 17.638-kilometer hike will take you on an out-and-back journey to Lac des Ravières.
Starting at the parking area, you'll head towards Chalet de la Biolle, a wilderness hut located 2.55 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue, you'll reach Col de Basmont, a saddle point 2.18 kilometers into the hike.
At the 8.82-kilometer mark, you'll arrive at Lac des Ravières, a beautiful lake surrounded by nature. Here, you can take a break, have a picnic at the nearby picnic site (0.04 kilometers from the lake), and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
Along the way, you'll also come across informational points like Sentiers de Randonnée Commune de Montsapey, Pont des Rouelles, and other signboards to guide you through the trail.
With an elevation gain of 1456 meters, this hike offers a challenging experience for seasoned hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
