Welcome to the hiking route on the M-12 trail! This route offers a moderate level of difficulty with a total distance of 4.742 kilometers and an elevation gain of 275 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 1 hour and 47 minutes.
Starting at the parking area located at the beginning of the trail, hikers can head towards the first point of interest, Matkovića most, a historic attraction located 1.2 kilometers from the start. As you continue along the trail, you will come across Zelenac spring at 1.47 kilometers, offering a refreshing stop along the way.
Further along the trail at 1.6 kilometers is Kotobilje, a historic battlefield site with interesting landmarks to explore. Around 0.8 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water point for hikers to refill their water bottles.
One of the highlights of the hike is Gručalica peak at 2.36 kilometers, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby at 2.37 kilometers is a viewpoint, providing a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
As you make your way back, you will pass by Tajno Brdo, a historic fort and peak located at 2.27 kilometers, offering a glimpse into the past. Additionally, there are benches along the trail at 2.23 and 2.27 kilometers for hikers to rest and take in the surroundings.
