This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through breathtaking landscapes in the Arbizon area. With a total distance of 9.699 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1407 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, be sure to stop by the drinking water point located at the beginning to refill your water bottle and stay hydrated.
About 3.21 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the refreshing Fontaine Colariot spring, a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, approximately 1.59 kilometers in, you'll reach Cabane Espigous, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and soak in the tranquility of the area.
As you continue on, the peak of Arbizon will come into view around 4.85 kilometers from the start. This iconic peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding nature, making it a perfect photo opportunity and a rewarding endpoint for your hike.
