This extremely difficult 17.155 kilometers circular hiking route will take you through the stunning landscape surrounding the Cabane de Port Bielh on the Sentier du Pic de Portarras. With an elevation gain of 1006.0 meters, this challenging hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at a parking area located right on the trail, you will soon come across the Lac de Gourguet, a beautiful water feature just 6.48 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, you will pass by the Refuge du Lac d'Aubert - Néouvielle, a shelter located just 0.08 kilometers from the start, offering a potential resting spot for weary hikers.
Further along the trail, you will encounter several other points of interest, including the Laquet de Coste Oueillère, a picturesque water location just 7.25 kilometers into the hike, and the Cabane de Coste Queillère, another shelter about midway through the route, providing a great place to take a break.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various water features, such as the Lac Supérieur and the Col d'Aumar, as well as informational spots like viewpoints and wilderness huts.
