Located in a picturesque area, this hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With a total distance of 9.335 kilometers and an elevation gain of 66 meters, this trail is classified as difficult in terms of difficulty. As you begin your journey, you will come across the parking area, conveniently situated right at the trailhead. About 4.67 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the impressive rock formation known as El Barret del Rector, providing a perfect spot to take in the surrounding scenery.
Continuing onwards, at around 4.03 kilometers from the start, you will find the entrances to both Cova de Cal Muntaner and Cova del Tramper, fascinating natural caves waiting to be explored. Along the way, you'll also encounter various information points, offering insights into the local area and its history.
As you approach the midway point of the trail, at approximately 1.69 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the ruins of forn de Calç de Can Suriol 105, adding a touch of historical significance to your hike. Further along, at 1.15 kilometers from the start, you'll discover the ruins of forn de Calç 170, showcasing the area's past.
Before reaching the endpoint, make sure to visit Les Piques, a restaurant located right by the trail at the beginning, offering a well-deserved break and refreshments. Finally, as you near the end of the hike around 3.87 kilometers in, you'll find Les Covetes, another cave entrance worth exploring.
