This extremely difficult hiking route will take you along the stunning Faja de las Flores in a beautiful natural area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 17.972 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1914 meters.
Along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest:
- At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike.
- Just a short distance from the start, there is a bar where you can stop for a refreshment before continuing on your journey.
- About midway through the hike, you will come across Casa de Oliván, where you can find more information about the area.
- At various points along the trail, you will also see attractions such as peaks and springs, adding to the scenic beauty of the route.
- Shelter facilities are available about 2.04 kilometers into the hike, providing a rest stop for weary hikers.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching Punta Gallinero, a peak located approximately 6.73 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
It is important to note that this route is extremely difficult due to its length and elevation gain. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before heading out.
