Welcome to the hiking route to Castellaz!
Located in a beautiful alpine setting, this moderate 5.5-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a chance to explore some interesting points of interest along the way.
Starting off at the designated parking area, hikers will pass by the informative waypoints at 0.37 kilometers and 1.81 kilometers from the start, providing insights into the local area and its history. As you continue on the trail, at 0.83 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the charming alpine hut, Capanna Cervino, ideal for a rest stop or enjoying a packed lunch.
Midway through the hike, at 2.72 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the picturesque viewpoint at Castellaz, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. Nearby, at the same distance, you can explore the historic Cristo Pensante monument, adding a touch of cultural significance to your trek.
