This hiking route on D 182 offers a super easy and scenic experience, perfect for all skill levels. The trail spans approximately 1.377 kilometers with an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it a quick and enjoyable outing.

Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you'll soon come across the ruins of historical significance just 0.27 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. These ruins provide a fascinating glimpse into the past and serve as a great point of interest along the way.

Continuing on, at around 0.21 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the entrance to the Grotte d'Aldène, a natural cave that adds a sense of adventure to the journey. Further along, at about 0.69 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Although Balme Rouge cave entrance is not directly on the trail at 0.0 kilometers from the start, it's worth mentioning for those interested in exploring off-trail sights.

As this is an out-and-back route, you'll retrace your steps on the way back, giving you a chance to appreciate the landmarks from a different perspective.
