This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Birkkogel. The trail is 13.28 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1333 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers. The estimated duration for this hike is 6 hours and 24 minutes, so make sure to plan accordingly and start early in the day.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Felbermühle restaurant, located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to grab a meal or a snack before you begin your ascent. Further along the trail, you will find a parking area, perfect for leaving your car before setting out on the hike.

About midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of Birkkogel, a natural landmark with stunning views of the surrounding area. This is a great spot to take a break and appreciate the beauty of the landscape around you.

It is important to note that there is another parking area located about 0.14 kilometers away from the trail, but it is not directly on the route. Make sure to park at the designated parking area at the beginning of the trail to avoid any issues.

Before embarking on this challenging hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear. Checking the weather forecast beforehand is also recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
