This hiking route will take you to the stunning area around Petit Péric, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of approximately 14.8 kilometers and an elevation gain of 761 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will test your endurance.
As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will find the parking area at a distance of 0.0 kilometers, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on the adventure.
As you continue on the trail, you will encounter the Chemin "Estany de la Balmeta" information point at 0.19 kilometers, providing you with insights about the surrounding area. The Source de la Balmeta spring will be located at 2.72 kilometers from the start, offering a refreshing stop to replenish your water supply.
Further along the trail, at 1.72 kilometers, you will reach the Étang de la Balmette water feature, followed by the Cabane de La Balmeta shelter at 2.56 kilometers, providing a potential resting spot or overnight stay option.
Continuing your journey, you will pass by the Estany de la Llosa at 4.34 kilometers, and Étang de la Balmette at 4.1 kilometers, both offering picturesque views and serene surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at 6.38 kilometers, you will come across another water feature, providing another opportunity to rest and refuel before tackling the remainder of the trail.
