This extremely difficult 12.432-kilometer out-and-back hike takes you to the stunning Refuge de Campana de Cloutou in the picturesque area of Sentier du Pic de Portarras. The trail starts at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle safely.
The hike begins with a challenging ascent, but the stunning views make it all worth it. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Cabane de Barrassé, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
As you continue on, at 4.05 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Réservoir des Laquets, a beautiful water feature perfect for a rest stop. Further along the trail, at 4.81 kilometers, you will encounter another water feature that adds to the natural beauty of the hike.
At the halfway point, around 5.85 kilometers, you will come across the Laquette de Gréziolles, another water feature that provides a peaceful and scenic spot to rest and refuel. As you make your way back, at 6.22 kilometers, you'll find another water feature to enjoy before completing the hike.
It is important to note that this hike has a total elevation gain of 751 meters, so be prepared for a challenging trek. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
