Welcome to the hiking route to Cabane de Greziolles in the stunning Pyrenees region. This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of 9.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 705 meters, taking approximately 4 hours to complete. The trail is rated as difficult due to its length and elevation gain, so be prepared for a strenuous hike.
Starting at the parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail, hikers will embark on a picturesque journey through the wilderness. About 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the charming Cabane de Barrassé, a wilderness hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the rustic surroundings.
As you continue on the trail, around the 4-kilometer mark, you will encounter the Réservoir des Laquets, a beautiful water reservoir that offers a serene spot to take in the views. Further ahead, at the 4.8-kilometer mark, there are additional water sources along the trail to refill your supplies.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 4.5 kilometers, you will reach the Cabane de Greziolles, another wilderness hut nestled in the scenic landscape. This marks a great turning point for hikers to take a break before heading back along the same trail.
