This hike takes you through a challenging 12.025-kilometer out-and-back trail to Cascade d'Aigues-Folles, offering breathtaking views and significant elevation gain of 495 meters. The estimated duration for this extremely difficult hike is 4 hours and 1 minute.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area before making your way towards the viewpoint at 3.08 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the panoramic views before continuing to the impressive Cascade d'Aigues-Folles, a beautiful waterfall located 6.01 kilometers from the beginning of the trail.
As you hike, you may also come across the Boulidou du Camp de Guerre cave entrance at 0.09 kilometers from the trail, and the Grotte du Laminoir cave entrance at 0.11 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, you will encounter the historic ruins of Chapelle Saint Cyprien at 3.08 kilometers from the start, and the natural peak of Les Jumeaux at 2.99 kilometers from the beginning of the hike.
For a rest stop, there is a bench at 5.93 kilometers into the trail, offering a moment of respite before continuing on. Additionally, if you require any supplies or refreshments, you can visit Les Vergers du Mas Neuf farm at 4.87 kilometers from the start.
