This hiking route is situated in a picturesque area with lush greenery and beautiful scenery. The trail is a super easy out-and-back route with a total distance of 0.784 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, there is a parking area for your convenience. Approximately 0.13 kilometers into the hike, you will find the "Anfänge des Bergbaus in der Esterau" information point, which provides insights into the early beginnings of mining in the region.

As you continue, around 0.3 kilometers in, you will reach the "Gelände der ehemaligen Betriebsanlagen" and "Mittelschacht" information points, which offer details about the former operational areas and the Middle Shaft of the mine, respectively.

Around 0.24 kilometers into the hike, there is a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature. Further along the trail, at approximately 0.39 kilometers, you will come across a viewpoint with stunning panoramic views.

Additionally, there are benches located at the viewpoint and another information point called "Seilbahn zur Aufbereitung Laurenburg" near the 0.25-kilometer mark. Finally, at around 0.36 kilometers, you will reach the "Stephanschacht" information point, providing more information about the mining history in the area.
