This extremely difficult 12.31-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning landscape around Lago di Zana. The trail starts at the parking area near Lago di Zana, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging journey. Make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before setting out.

As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. About 0.48 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Cometti Alpine Hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views. Continuing on, at 1.3 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water point to refill your supplies.

Midway through the hike, at 4.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic peak of Sasso Bianco. Take some time to appreciate the panoramic views from this vantage point. Further ahead, at 4.65 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Colma di Zana, a picturesque saddle along the trail.

About 5.62 kilometers from the start, you will reach the tranquil shores of Lago di Zana, where you can relax and take in the serene surroundings. Additionally, at 2.94 kilometers from the start, there is another beautiful lake called Lago di Arcoglio, slightly off the main trail.

This challenging hike involves a total elevation gain of 760 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete. Be prepared for steep inclines and rocky terrain along the way.
